About Us

Welcome to Slow and Mindful!

We believe every woman deserves to live with purpose, inner peace, and joy. My mission is to guide you on that journey.

About Me

Hi there, I’m Linda, founder of Slow and Mindful. So glad you’re here.

I’ve found my purpose – guiding women to thrive through mindfulness, creativity, and slow living. My own life transformed when I started practicing mindfulness after a devastating cancer diagnosis 17 years ago. The tools that got me through – meditation, breathwork, mindful movement – became my lifeline.

After recovering, I pursued my passion for sustainable design, earning a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design focused on eco-conscious textiles and production methods. I have since launched my small upcycled fashion brand SLOW LDN, breathing new life into pre-loved materials.

My background in design informs my approach today. I create mindfulness experiences that engage the senses through art, nature, and hands-on crafting.

Seeing students struggling with anxiety as a creative arts teacher motivated me to share these tools. I earned a Master’s degree in Mindfulness-Based Approaches, studying psychology, neuroscience and evidence-based techniques.

For over 5 years now, I’ve refined my ability to guide women to find inner peace through 1:1 coaching, courses, and compassionate community.

Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing someone bloom embracing mindfulness, creativity, and ethical living. The research proves it – these practices transform lives.

If this resonates, I invite you to join me on this journey. Explore my 1:1 coaching, online programs, and upcoming events. Subscribe to my newsletter for inspiration and insights. Let’s walk together towards deeper purpose and joyful living.

So pleased to meet you!

Linda

Linda's personal journey

My Mindfulness Journey

Mindfulness entered my life 17 years ago during a major hardship, and transformed me forever after.

I had recently left a stable career to finally pursue my creative dreams when a leukemia diagnosis suddenly put everything on hold. During months of treatments, mindfulness practices like meditation, breathwork and yoga became my refuge, helping me navigate overwhelming anxiety and isolation with new clarity. I discovered a wellspring of courage and compassion within.

My lifelong love for fashion and textiles had started early – hand sewing tiny dresses for my dolls out of scraps at age 5, using my first pay cheque at 16 to buy a sewing machine to start crafting unique clothes. Later in recovery, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, focusing on sustainable production methods aligned with my values.

As a creative arts teacher years later, I witnessed firsthand the mental health crisis impacting so many students and my teaching colleagues alike. I transformed my classroom into a judgment-free creative space for self-expression and emotional release. During this time my dream grew to share mindfulness as a healing pathway.

This led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Mindfulness-Based Approaches, formally developing skills to guide others. I now blend mindfulness with my passions for creativity and ethical fashion in courses and 1:1 coaching.

My own journey through adversity taught me mindfulness’ power to transform suffering into growth. I’m committed to holding space for self-discovery, building strength, and rediscovering joy.

Will you join me in weaving mindfulness into the fabric of each day? Together we can inspire hope and healing.
